"Hollywood Stars" 2010 Christmas dinner with burlesque, cabaret, Djs and dancing till late
Introduction
Peacock Bar London is proud to announce its Hollywood Stars Christmas Dinner, Burlesque Cabaret, 80s Djs and Dance from 1st December to 24th December 2010 with a special emphasis on catering for shared Christmas Party Groups or exclusive Christmas Party groups.
Our chef has prepared a special Christmas 3 course buffet Menu from £20 per head available from 6pm-10.pm and a 3 course sit down Menu from £25 per head. In between courses our performers with be entertaining you (think three different performers with six shows) and yes we will gladly humiliate any bosses foolish enough to get on stage in between being jolly nice of course to everyone else.
After the shows/dinner its 80s Djs and dancing from 10ish with our celebrity DJ DiskoJuice spinning rubbish 80/90s cheese with a tiny bit of classic Ibizan house (you know the old stuff) thrown in too . plus a few smoochy slow songs too for you know what. All aided by tacky original 70s/80s lights and silly freebies from party poppers to streamers for that office party from yesteryear feel.
Come on having your Office Christmas Dinner Party at the Peacock has got to be more fun than some boring old sit down dinner plus you get your chance to humiliate your boss by putting him on stage with our performers with a boogie afterwards. And even better he/she cannot escape as we have a performer dressed up as a Giant Chicken to drag him/her onto the stage if he/she is too chicken to go up on stage by themselves. (oh but for any bosses reading this we can be nice to you too!).

The Hollywood Stars Theme
The venue - not to mentions staff - will all be dressed in 30s, 40s 50s attire so expect venetian masks, Marilyn Monroe films flickering on the walls, red carpet , the whole works. Dressing up is optional but is strongly encouraged whether its 30s evening gowns, burlesque gear or black tie just as long as its glamorous and stylish (but yes guys jeans and trainers are fine too - I am sure your date will be so impressed!). Our hosts will be pouring complimentary Peacock Christmas Cocktails for everyone making the effort
The shows, Djs and dancing
Christmas Dinner is served with six shows by three performers. One will be a romantic singer in the Dean Martin / Frank Sinatra tradition (ahhh so sweet), the second a burlesque performer/singer (to keep the boys happy) and the third well lets just say he/she/ the transsexual will be livening things up a bit (in a cat amongst the pigeons kind of way!).
After Dinner/Shows there is retro Djs and dancing with Dj Paul Knight and DJ Diskojuice spinning rubbish 80/90s cheese with a tiny bit of classic Ibizan house (you know the old stuff) thrown in too . plus a few smoochy slow songs too for you know what. All aided by tacky original 70s/80s lights and silly freebies from party poppers to streamers for that office party from yesteryear feel. That's till we chuck you all out onto to the street well sozzled in the early hours of the morning of course
Stars In Their Eyes
Fancy going on stage? Because there is nothing our performers like more than bringing people on stage to sing to /dance with so whether you are a fat cat or wild youngster this is your chance. Come on now don’t be shy. Oh and it's all recorded by our photographers for ever too. Oh and we are expecting volunteers from the audience from each group and if we do not get any well..........our Giant Chicken will have to spring into operation!

Cream of Leek and Potato soup with sunflower bread and butter
Duck orange and cranberry pate with brioche
Goats cheese and red onion caramelized tart
Main
Roast free range turkey with cranberry and chestnut stuffing, sausages wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables
Salmon Wellington with mushroom stuffing, crushed new potatoes and wild mushroom sauce
Vegetarian lasagna
Sweets
Homemade Christmas pudding with dark rum sauce and brandy butter
Rich chocolate mousse tart
Treacle tart with vanilla ice cream
Note. Buffet meals (£20 per head) served at low tables buffet style and guests are supplied with crackers, silly party hats and other Christmassy type things. Sit down meals (£25 per head) served at high tables with individual portioned meals and guests are supplied with crackers, silly party hats and other Christmassy type things.
Cocktail lessons
For early birds we open from 5pmish as a bar and our resident cocktail supremos will be hosting cocktail lessons with our infamous scoring cards with messages like "null points" to "my place or yours?"
Speed dating
For the young free and single we are also putting on a bit of a speed dating thing too compeered by one of our performers so do remember to look your best as you never know who you might meet. And we are expecting every table to contribute a few victims - ooops I mean singles too just so you know - come on let your work mates see just how bad at pulling you really are. No seriously if there is not a significant increase in the UK birth rate in September 2011 we shall consider ourselves to have failed!
Photography, Facebook and YouTube
Oh and it's all recorded by our photographers for ever too plus we will be turning each night into a YouTube video and putting it on Facebook so you never be able to live it down. David Brent eat your heart out
Pay and rations
For shared bookings 10% of the food cost is payable on booking and the balance by 14th December 2009. Please make it clear if opting for the Christmas Buffet Menu (£20 per head +VAT) or Christmas Sit Down Menu (£25 per head +VAT) . We are happy to also run pre paid tabs (with a cash bar afterwards) on the night
For each dinner we have a maximum capacity of 200 people (150 Sit Down Dinner) and we recommend minimum group sizes of 6 people. For Companies looking to book the whole venue we can provide an a la carte menu of food and performances for you,
For 80 or more people we strongly recommend considering booking an exclusive dinner as we can then prepare an a la carte menu of performers and food for you. There is no fee for an exclusive Christmas dinner booking although there is a minimum spend of £5,000 on food and drinks.
For exclusive bookings 10% of the minimum spend is payable on booking and the balance 14 days in advance of the event. We are happy to also run pre paid tabs (with a cash bar afterwards) on the night. We are also happy to customise exclusive events including providing a choice of performers and content. If the client has the time we strongly recommend a consultation on site with our Entertainment Booker.
In each case we will email you an invoice and we can take payment by credit card over the phone and by EFT.
